Academic Interests

Dr. Bonham conducts translational research seeking to understand how changes in some patients’ immune systems lead to poor outcomes, including increased scarring of the lungs (pulmonary fibrosis). She has also published original clinical research on new and effective diagnosis and treatment strategies for persons with pulmonary hypertension. Her research has led to practical treatment solutions that can help patients today, as well as fresh avenues for exploring why some of our current treatment strategies aren’t working. She strives to continue to fuse her clinical expertise with these scientific discoveries for improving the health of pulmonary patients.
